Farmer’s Almanac – Frosty Flip Flop Winter

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, January 2022 temperatures will average out milder than normal over much of Eastern and Central Canada, particularly during the first half of the month with a trend toward colder weather toward month’s end.
February, on the other hand, looks very cold, particularly across the Prairies and Rockies. British Columbia won’t be as frigid, but even out there, an unseasonable chill will be evident during the second week and again during the final days of the month. In the U.S., this winter will deal an icy combo of above-average snowfall and below-average temperatures in the New England area, as well as parts of the Appalachian region, the Ohio Valley and the northern part of the Deep South. Interestingly enough, it predicts a colder and snowier-than-usual winter for southern New Mexico, as well. XYNYTH Celebrates 35 Years!

We’ve passed a milestone and we’re celebrating. This year marks the 35th year of XYNYTH Manufacturing.

It was not that long ago when back in 1986 XYNYTH was started. Back in those days, long before internet, XYNYTH was started as a small icemelt distributor in Western Canada. It wasn’t until 5 years later, that XYNYTH set up manufacturing, and begun to sell its products coast to coast in Canada. Their first product, Mountain Organic Natural Icemelter, quickly became a big hit with end-users. It was the very first Eco-Friendly icemelter to hit the shelves. Of course there were many “ney sayers”, suggesting it would never sell, “nobody cares about the environment”. Thankfully, they couldn’t have been more wrong, and today the effects of your products on the environment is paramount. Mountain today is one of the top best selling Environmentally Friendly icemelters on the market.

In this time of reflection, we certainly would like to thank all our
customers, vendors and associates for 35 wonderful, exciting and fun years. Working with great people has truly made the past 35 years an awesome experience. We could not have reached this far without the support and determination of every individual like you. We look forward to a continued relationship with you in the coming years.

Safe for pets ice melt

Is your icemelter safe around your pets?

The two main issues to be concerned about with respect to the choice of icemelter used around pets are, will the icemelter affect their paws, eyes, nose, and what if your pets licks their paws after they have walked upon the icemelter. So why choose GroundWorks Natural Icemelter ™, manufactured by XYNYTH Manufacturing? Because GroundWorks™ is made from potash (potassium chloride) , a colorless crystalline solid or powder used widely in fertilizers and in the preparation of most potassium compounds, and is completely safe for use around children and pets.

GroundWorks Natural™ Icemelter is a premium fertilizer based product designed specifically to melt ice and snow effectively, while being completely eco-friendly, pet safe and easy to use.

How to best spread/apply Icemelters?

Many have been asking how to best spread/apply icemelters?

Icemelters are best spread by using some mechanical means such as a spreader. Using a spreader guarantees even consistent distribution. While deicers can be spread manually using a scoop or by hand, it is not recommended. Spreaders are available in all sizes, from small hand held varieties to large dump truck attachments. Many users of ice melters like to have their product colored to make it easier for the person doing the spreading and to help over use of the product. Colored deicers can easily be seen by people, assuring them that it is safe to walk on the ice.

For more information on high-quality icemelters and deicers that are organic, “green” and safe to use, check out XYNYTH.com.
