President’s Message – A Year to Remember

2020 has been a year like no other in the lives of everyone living today. It is a year, I would venture to say, that most people want to see an end. A year to put behind us. While many people and businesses have suffered, the events of this past year have reminded us all of what is truly important in our lives – People. Keeping in touch and being kind. Reaching out, helping out, and staying in touch.

So as this year draws to a close, let me say how proud I am to be working with each of you and all the staff at XYNYTH. I think this is not said enough. All of us working together, as a well-oiled machine, as a team, for a common cause, is a continual reminder of the importance of people. I respect and appreciate everyone in the XYNYTH Family and admire our diversity.

While this will likely be one of the most chaotic, crazy holiday seasons, with many of us not able to get together with extended loved ones; let us remember to be calm and reflect, yet again, on the importance of life. Hopefully, this pandemic will come to an end soon.

Let me take this opportunity to wish you and your family all the very best this holiday season. May you get some time to relax, enjoy some great food, great wine, and each other, if even only on a “zoom” call? The New Year is sure to bring some great hope for everyone!!Keep calm, be kind, and stay safe! All the Best !!!

National Parks & Salt

Did you know that the vast majority of national parks across Canada and the United States don’t use salt?

Salt attracts wild animals, which can create quite a nuisance for park goers. It can also have deadly ramifications if a harmful chemical like calcium chloride or magnesium chloride is present. An excellent alternative to salt is our Winter Warrior Enviro LEADer™ Icemelter.

It will not attract animals and affect the surrounding vegetation in any way. Enviro LEADer is also non-corrosive, so it won’t harm vehicles. To learn more about this product, please consult our website at XYNYTH.com.

Icemelter and new concrete (12 months old!)

A question we frequently get is “if Icemelter is safe to apply on new concrete?”

The answer is no, as newly poured concrete needs time to cure and settle. The application of icemelter on concrete less than 12 months old may weaken the concrete structure making it more susceptible to damage in the future.

In order to reduce slipping, falling and liability risks, we suggest applying sand on the new concrete slab to give it some traction.
